Why a compass? Because everywhere I've been and everywhere I want to go 
influences my cooking. I grew up in the American Midwest, lived in the 
West and Southwest, traveled and ate in Europe and Asia and loved it 
all. It has resulted in an eclectic style and a desire to try more!
I am self-taught, starting back in the old days of Saturday morning 
cooking shows on PBS.  I am currently living in beautiful New Mexico, 
and love to put a Southwestern spin on classic dishes.
I love to cook for my family and friends.  My favorite phrase is "food is love!"
